ヘイニ―、ジョンソン講師がビジネス英語学習者向けテキストを個人出版

　愛知東邦大学経営学部国際ビジネス学科講師のシャイアン・ヘイニ―（Cheyenne N. Haney ）講師と、及びジョーダン・ジョンソン（ Jordan R. Johnson）講師が、日本のビジネス英語学習者向けESL（English as a Second Language）テキスト「 International Business English 1: Start Your Journey 」を執筆、個人出版しました。
　２人の経験を結集させて作成された本書は、第２言語習得プロセス (背景知識の活性化 → 意味重視のインプット → 意味重視のアウトプット → 流暢さの向上) により学習者を途切れなく導く、入念な構成となっています。
　13 のユニットには、学習者がビジネスで遭遇する可能性が高い現実的なテーマと状況がそれぞれ提示され、英語力と同時にビジネス文化の理解向上にも役立ちます。また、本書ではPaul Nation (2017) によって作成された BNC (British National Corpus) 及び COCA (Corpus of Contemporary American English) を分析し、厳選された260 の語彙が使用されています。

　Cheyenne N. Haney (lecturer) and Jordan R. Johnson (lecturer) of the Faculty of Business Administration, Department of International Business, have independently written, designed, edited, and published International Business English 1: Start Your Journey (an ESL textbook for business English learners in Japan).
Using their combined experience, Haney and Johnson created carefully structured materials that seamlessly guide textbook users through natural language learning processes (i.e., schema activation  meaning-focused input  meaning-focused output  fluency exercises).
　The 13 units in the textbook present realistic themes and situations that learners are likely to encounter in business, while also increasing their English proficiency and understanding of business culture. In addition, the 260 vocabulary words used throughout the book were carefully selected and analyzed using the BNC (British National Corpus) and COCA (Corpus of Contemporary American English) created by Paul Nation (2017).
